Speech and Debate (Forensics)
Speech and Debate (Forensics) is a club at Palmer Ridge that offers a variety of opportunities for students to gain skills beyond the classroom that will help them during and after high school. It is sanctioned by both CHSAA and the National Speech and Debate Association, and teaches students critical thinking, presentation skills, and the ability to analyze and interpret sources. Debate events include: Lincoln-Douglas, public forum, and congressional debate. Speech events include: extemporaneous speaking, oratory, informative, humorous interpretation, duo interpretation, dramatic interpretation, program oral interpretation, and poetry.
Weekly Practices:
Monday/Wednesday 3:00-4:30 p.m.
